What to do at an accident or breakdown
- 1Move to safetyIf you can, move your vehicle to the side of the road and switch on hazard lights.
- 2Call the right numberTap 103 for traffic/road emergencies, 102 for an ambulance, 101 for fire.
- 3Share your locationNote the nearest landmark, road name or km marker so help can reach you quickly.
- 4Stay visiblePlace a warning triangle or use your phone light at night until help arrives.
