Built to keep every trip safe
Safety is part of the ride, not an add-on. Here is what protects you before, during and after a RoadSewa trip — and how we make sure only verified drivers are on the road.
Protection from pickup to drop-off
Four things travel with you on every RoadSewa ride.
- See your driver before pickupYou get the driver’s name, vehicle and plate number in the app, so you board the right vehicle. Every Kathmandu safety guide says check the plate — we put it front and centre.
- Start PINA 4-digit PIN is confirmed before the trip begins, so a ride can only start with the right passenger and driver together.
- Live trip trackingFollow your driver on the map in real time, from pickup all the way to your drop-off.
- One-tap SOSThe SOS button dials emergency services directly, so help is reachable even if the app or your connection is having trouble.
Only compliant drivers can take a trip
Documents reviewed by our team
A driver’s licence, vehicle papers, insurance and PAN are checked before they can take a single trip. Nothing is self-approved.
Commercial vehicles only
Passenger rides use commercial (black-plate) vehicles with valid commercial insurance — the legal way to carry passengers in Nepal.
Ongoing compliance checks
Driver documents are re-checked over time, so a lapsed licence or expired certificate takes a driver off the road until it is put right.
In an emergency, call for help first
Nepal Police, Traffic Police, Ambulance and Fire Brigade are toll-free from any phone in Nepal. RoadSewa keeps every emergency and roadside number in one place so you can dial in seconds.
Safety features, in your pocket
Start PIN, live tracking and one-tap SOS all live in the RoadSewa app.
