Overtaking
In Nepal you overtake on the RIGHT of the vehicle in front. Overtaking on the left is how you end up in the space someone is turning into.
Signal your intention before you pull out, and sound the horn to let the driver ahead know you are there - they cannot see into your half of the road.
Do not begin an overtake at a bend, on a hill crest, at a zebra crossing, in fog, or when the vehicle ahead is itself overtaking. In each case you are committing to a stretch of road you cannot see.
If a vehicle behind you is overtaking, do not speed up and do not hold the crown of the road. Ease off and give it room; the manoeuvre ends sooner and you are both safer for it.
