Insurance
Insurance is compulsory, and third-party cover is the part the law insists on. It pays the people your vehicle harms - it is not cover for your own vehicle.
Third-party insurance in Nepal is provisioned at Rs 5 lakh (Rs 500,000). The same figure applies to the cover provisioned for the driver and other employees of a public vehicle.
Where somebody is killed in a vehicle accident, the dependants of the deceased are entitled to funeral expenses and compensation, and it is the duty of the vehicle's side to see that the compensation reaches the injured party.
Driving without valid insurance leaves you personally liable for everything the policy would have covered.
